I have the same feeling. It might be caused by the fact that nowadays they participate more in cars that dont resemble normal road cars for the common man as much as they did in the 90s. Back then you saw Opel compete with the Astra or Calibra, Audi with the Audi 80 etc, instead of a Audi R8 and the likes. Those sport/hypercars aren't as relatable to me.

yeah i mean they looked like normal street cars tuned to the max. You could watch DTM on a sunday and monday you could buy the car that looked like the one on TV.

Got a massive overcut on both the mercs whom'st struggled heavily with heat issues, and maintained that lead until the end.
